Two Euro-pallet layer orientations
120 × 80 cm pallet; 40 × 30 × 25 cm carton; 14.4 cm deck; 180 cm overall height
Calculation: max(3 × 2, 4 × 2) × floor((180 − 14.4) ÷ 25)
Expected: 8 per layer × 6 layers = 48 cartons
Load these inputs →Estimate cartons per layer, layers per pallet, total cartons, and space utilization.
Centimeter estimate with no overhang and one carton height orientation.
Preset deck heights are planning assumptions. Measure your pallet and replace the height above; no pallet weight or stacking-strength limit is enforced.
3 × 2; pallet 120 × 80 cm
4 × 2; pallet 120 × 80 cm
Planning estimate only. Confirm measurements, rounding, service rules, payload, and rates with the carrier.

Load these inputs →Cargoivo compares two uniform carton orientations on the selected pallet footprint, with no overhang. It then calculates full layers using the available height above the pallet deck. This is a simple layout estimate; mixed-orientation or interlocking patterns can differ.
The worked example uses 40 × 30 × 25 cm cartons on a 120 × 80 cm pallet with a 14.4 cm deck. A maximum overall height of 180 cm leaves 165.6 cm for cartons: six full 25 cm layers. Eight cartons per layer gives 48 cartons in this layout.
Maximum overall height includes the pallet itself. The carton count does not approve the load's weight, stacking strength or stability. Check those limits for the actual pallet, packaging and transport service before building the load.
Test common pallet footprints and box orientations before building a load. The estimate finds the higher carton count of the two simple layer orientations and respects your maximum loaded height.
Measure the packed carton and select a pallet footprint.
Set the maximum loaded height allowed by your warehouse or carrier.
Review the suggested orientation, layer count, and utilization.
The result is a planning estimate, not a freight quote or load-safety approval. Measure the finished package, confirm the correct carrier service and divisor, and apply the rounding method in your current contract. For pallets and containers, also verify maximum payload, door clearance, stacking strength, load restraint, and local transport rules.
Equipment specifications and tariff rules can change. Cargoivo keeps common presets visible while letting the carrier's own documentation remain the final authority.
Calculator behavior is checked with repeatable examples documented in How We Test and the Cargoivo Lab.

No. The estimate keeps cartons within the deck footprint. Real mixed or interlocked patterns may produce a different result.
